Kim Jong-un has executed his envoy to the U.S. and four others as part of a purge of officials after Jong-un's failed summit with Donald Trump. The North Korean dictator executed Kim Hyok Chol by firing squad for "betraying the supreme leader". Chol was killed in March at Mirim Airport for being "won over to the US," during nuclear negotiations with Trump. Chol and the four other senior foreign ministry officials executed at the airfield were accused of becoming U.S. "spies" after the failed second negotiations between Trump and Kim Jong-un ended abruptly in February. Kim Hyok Chol was the North's counterpart of U.S. nuclear envoy Stephen Biegun in the run-up to the Hanoi summit in February. Nigerians on an Arik Air flight from Port Harcourt to Lagos were taken aback and some began to plead the blood of Jesus after the Ooni of Ife boarded the plane with his diviner who was performing some sort of traditional rite. Passengers were already seated when the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and his aides walked in. His diviner was also present, dressed in an attire befitting of his position, and he held two instruments which he raised above his hand and shook vigorously to make a sound. The diviner kept shaking the instrument until the Ooni sat down. He then put the instruments in a satchel hanging by his side and proceeded to his seat at the back of the plane. Okorocha and wife  Immediate past governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), according to reports reaching  News Express . This arrest is coming a day after Okorocha bowed out of office, having completed his maximum eight years of two four-year terms of office. The anti-graft agency reportedly stormed Okorocha’s home town, Ogboko, Imo State, and also arrested his wife, Nkechi Okorocha, as well as his siblings Gerald Okorocha and Okey Okorocha. President Muhammadu Buhari did not deliver any speech at Wednesday’s inauguration because of the forthcoming Democracy Day. Buhari, 76, was sworn in for second term at the Eagle Square, Abuja, alongside the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. The oath of office was administered on them by the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad. A Presidency source told Daily Trust that the President’s inaugural speech would be delivered on June 12 during the Democracy Day. Recall that the Federal Government had shifted major events for the President’s inauguration to June 12. Nigerian rapper, Zlatan was seen begging to perform at Regina Daniel’s Children’s day party in Delta State. Zlatan was billed to perform at the Nollywood actress’ Children’s Day Party in Agbor, Delta State but on getting to the venue, he was thwarted from performing. According to the organizers, his recent scandal with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) would not portray him as a figure the children should look up to and this compelled them to prevent him from performing at the show. The rapper had to plead with one of the organizers to let him perform but his pleas fell on deaf ears and all hell broke loose. The organizers threatened to shut down the whole event but with the quick intervention of Regina Daniels’ Husband, Ned Nwoko and her mother, he was eventually allowed to perform.

Maurizio Sarri dramatically stormed out of Chelsea's training session on the eve of the Europa League final in Azerbaijan.  The Italian angrily threw his hat to the ground and booted it twice before heading down the tunnel at Baku Olympic Stadium, where the Blues meet Premier League rivals Arsenal on Wednesday. LAGOS – Justice Adedayo Akintoye of a Lagos High Court sitting in Igbosere, on Tuesday, renewed a warrant of arrest against a former Super Eagles captain, Augustine Jay-Jay Okocha, over alleged tax evasion. The judge, like she did at the last adjourned date on April 15, renewed a warrant for Okocha’s arrest following reports from the counsel representing Lagos State Government that he was yet to liquidate his alleged tax debt owed the Lagos State. The government’s lawyer, Mrs. Y. A. Pitan, told Justice Akintoye that Okocha had visited the Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) office but failed to settle the 2017 income tax evasion charge out of court. The warrant was originally made on January, 2019. Like in previous proceedings, Okocha was neither in court nor represented by a lawyer when the case was called. A woman who criticised the Duke of Edinburgh after their cars collided near Sandringham has been banned from driving for six months over four unrelated motoring offences. Emma Fairweather, was a passenger in a Kia which was involved in a crash with Prince Philip's Land Rover on 17 January. His vehicle flipped over and he was rescued by a passing motorist. Fairweather was left with a broken wrist and called for the 97-year-old to be prosecuted if he was found to be at fault - and said she was upset no one from the royal family had contacted her to offer an apology - something he later did. The 46-year-old also described Philip as "highly insensitive and inconsiderate" after he was seen driving without a seatbelt 48 hours after the smash.
